  1. Where and when is the race?

The race will start at 10am on Sunday 8th April 2018 at Salisbury Fire Station.  The race HQ is at Salisbuury Fire Station, Ashley Road, Salisbury SP2 7TN

  1. Can I register on the day?

Not if the race has sold out.

  1. Do you have a map of the route / course profile?

Yes, follow the link on the race info tab.

  1. Will the course be marshaled?

Yes, marshals will be stationed throughout the race route to ensure your safety. Please adhere to their instructions.  There is also radio communication situated throughout the course and St John’s ambulance will be in attendance.

  1. How old do I need to be to run?

17 is the minimum age to participate.

  1. Will there be prizes?

There will be prizes for various age groups for male and female competitors.  Please see the prizes section under the race info tab.

  1. Is the race suitable for wheelchair athletes?

No, unfortunately not, due to the terrain.

  1. Where do I get the results?

Race results will be available after the race on this website and on the race Facebook page.

  1. How do I get my race pack?

Race number and timing chip will be available for collection on the race day.  You will be required to show photo ID when you pick up your race number.

Further information will be provided on the Salisbury 10 website and in the Race instructions email, which will be sent to all entrants prior to the race.

  1. I have entered now I cannot run, what is your refund policy?

As with the vast majority of races, we do not offer refunds or deferrals. However, you can transfer your entry to another runner up to 05/04/2018.

  1. Can I transfer my race entry?

Transfers are acceptable and remains the responsibility of the entrant to transfer through the race email Salisbury10@salisbury-arc.org prior to 05/04/18.  There is not a waiting list.  The following details of the transferred runner will be required.  Name, Address, Email, Telephone, DOB, Medical conditions, England Athletics URN and Club. Please ensure that your transfer has been confirmed by the race organisers prior to this date, otherwise the transfer will not have been processed and only the original entrant will be allowed to race.  There is not a waiting list.

  1. How long do I have to register for the race?

Until 05/04/18 or if sold out prior to this date.

  1. What is the race cut off time?

A time limit of 135 minutes is deemed reasonable for the completion of the race

  1. What if I am ill before the race?

Running a 10 mile is a strenuous activity, and running if you are ill could risk your health. We recommend that you do not run if you feel ill on race day. If in doubt, consult your doctor.

  1. Can I wear an iPod or music player during the race?

Unfortunately, headphones and earphones are not permitted during this race for the safety of the competitor.  This is to ensure runners can hear all marshal instructions and listen for any vehicles on the road.  Bone-conducting headphones are permitted to be worn.

  1. Will there be road closures?

There is a small road closure at the start of the race and a road closure on Philips Lane, however the majority of the course is open to traffic.  There will be traffic management marshals in position at the Avon bridge and the Bridge inn junctions.  There will be signage and marshals around the course to ensure that any vehicles are kept away from runners.

  1. Do we get a medal for finishing the race?

Yes, we have finishers medals this year.

  1. Do we get a T Shirt for finishing the race?

Yes, you will receive a technical T shirt at registration at the size stipulated by entrants when they entered the race.

  1. Where can I park on race day?

Parking IS available in Salisbury central car park, this is currently free.

  1. Are there changing facilities?

Yes, there are changing rooms in within Five Rivers Leisure Centre.  Showers are also available.

         21. Are there baggage facilities?

Yes, there is a baggage holding facility available.  Items are left at the owners risk, there will be tags to put on your bag with your race number on.  Collection of the bag will only be with a matching race number.
